SERMON 42: ON PRAYER
Prayed for the rain all we got was the sun
Prayed for some pain got an unloaded gun
We gathered everyone inside the hall
With cries of supplication wall to wall
The land has dried, our sons are dying off
No, You're not the only one who's sweating blood
And we ask on our knees, always on the ground
Prayed for the rain all we got was the sun
Prayed for something prayed for anything
to keep the green from turning gray
Now tell me is this anyway to live?
To toil in the land we're dying in...
Like sisyphus I keep pushing this stone
I never get to where i'm trying to go
Yeah we ask on our knees, always on the ground
Prayed for the rain all we got was the sun
Prayed for some pain all we got was an unloaded gun
